Sixty-eight launchpads are active in the Pakistan-occupied territory along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Between 110 and 120 terrorists are preparing to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir from these locations. Intelligence agencies have provided this exclusive information to Dainik Bhaskar.
According to sources, infiltration attempts may increase in the coming weeks. Security has been further tightened in several sensitive areas along the LoC. Surveillance has been increased in all sectors to prevent terrorists from even approaching the border.
Officials said that Pakistan-backed terrorists are continuously being sent towards the LoC, but Indian security agencies are fully prepared. All forces have been given strict instructions to thwart every infiltration attempt at the border itself.
Patrolling has been increased in the border villages and forward posts. Field units have been ordered to remain more vigilant and take immediate action against any suspicious activity.
To prevent infiltration, security forces have further strengthened their counter-infiltration grid. The border is now equipped with night vision cameras, drone surveillance, thermal sensors, ground sensors, increased patrolling, and additional troops.
Earlier, on November 30, an annual press conference was held at the BSF campus in Jammu. During the conference, Shashank Anand, IG of the BSF's Jammu Frontier, stated, "So far in 2025, the BSF has destroyed 118 Pakistani posts. The government has given us a target of zero infiltration. We will achieve it."
Meanwhile, BSF DIG Vikram Kunwar said that during Operation Sindoor, the BSF destroyed several terrorist launch pads, after which Pakistan shifted more than 72 terror launch pads away from the border. These include 12 active launch pads in Sialkot-Zafarwal and 60 active launch pads in other locations. However, all of them are now located away from the border.
